All suppliers of feed additives and feed materials are selected to meet the standards of Trouw Nutrition, as well as the requirements according the applicable Legislation,

Our processes are strictly controlled to meet customer needs and legal requirements.

Trouw Nutrition’s solid Quality and Food safety approach is based on the implementation of  Nutreco’s company-wide feed-to-food quality program: Nutrace®

The Nutrace® program ensures safety and quality from feed ingredients through to finished products

Certified Quality
Trouw Nutrition manufacturing sites are working according International accepted and known Quality standards, including a unique premium HACCP system.

All plants are subject Nutreco’s HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment And Quality) standards and are audited on a regular basis.

Ingredient Assessment and Management
Trouw Nutrition has developed and implemented a Global Supplier and Product Assessment System (SUPRAS) as a tool for their Sourcing & Procurement and QA organization, to secure all their supplies.

Monitoring
Thorough and detailed monitoring programs at all relevant stages from raw materials to finished feed is achieved via a worldwide harmonised monitoring system and Quality Control program

Trouw Nutrition uses a central database for reporting undesired substances in ingredients.

Analysis are executed under supervision of Trouw Nutritions’s own laboratory MasterLab.

Risk Management
Trouw Nutrition has implemented a risk management system to take appropriate precautions to minimise risks.

Crisis manuals have been developed based on experience and simulations. These specify necessary corrective actions, communications and, where necessary, recall procedures. Well-trained crisis teams are prepared to minimise the impact of incidents.

Trouw Nutrition is supported by a comprehensive, global network throughout the industry, with regulators, NGO’s and other stakeholders.

Trouw Nutrition is also connected to Nutreco’s Internal Safety Alert system and is able to take applicable actions immediately.

Tracking & Tracing
Accurate and accessible records of all raw materials, production and feed deliveries, with rapid upstream and downstream information.

Trouw Nutrition has implemented a global ERP System with uniform electronic tracking & tracing (Trace Engine).
